When I started the Deja Reviewer website more than a year ago, I didn’t originally plan on including a Joke section. At the time, I had come up with about a hundred jokes, and I didn’t know how long I would be able to keep thinking up fresh ideas. But I took a chance and started sharing them anyway.
I’m glad I did. I’m up to more than 230 jokes so far, so I’ve got plenty more to share in the coming years.
In addition to maintaining the Deja Reviewer website, I have a full-time job as a copywriter at a company called Fishbowl. Believe me, if I could earn a living just writing about movies, I’d be pumping out a new article every other day instead of once a week. Oh well.
I mention this because I’d like to share a blog post I recently published on the Fishbowl Inventory Blog entitled “I Love My Job – and That’s No Joke.” In that post, I reveal why I started writing jokes and how my feelings about it have changed over the years. I learned that when I combine having fun with meeting deadlines, I’m able to be the most creative.
I hope you enjoy this fun little insight into what makes me tick. I’ll have another thought-provoking look on film next week.
This is the Deja Reviewer bidding you farewell until we meet again.
