Funny Christmas Carol: Let Us Know!

Merry Christmas! I wrote this parody of the famed Christmas carol “Let It Snow” a few years ago in honor of my parents. They’re both very sweet to let their children visit them so often. Plus, my younger brother and sister were just about to get married, so I had plenty of inspiration to draw from. I hope you enjoy it!

Let Us Know
(Parody of Let It Snow)

Oh, you’re all moved out and grown up,
But suddenly you’ve shown up
Asking for a bed and pillow.
Let us know! Let us know! Let us know!

We like when you come visit,
But could I please ask is it
Too hard before up you show
To let us know? Let us know! Let us know!

CHORUS:
It was cute when you were dating
To bring him or her to our home,
But it got quite irritating
When we couldn’t leave you two alone!

So before you come a-knocking
And you hear the deadbolt locking
And us boarding up the windows,
Let us know! Let us know! Let us know!
