It might seem like putting the cart before the horse, but I would like to share my second favorite robot fight in a film. Why not share my favorite one before the second favorite? To draw out the suspense! But not too long because I will reveal my favorite next week.
I grew up loving original movies featured on the Disney Channel, such as Mr. Boogedy and the like. This clip comes from one such TV movie called Still Not Quite Human. It’s the third film in a trilogy, and it is the best of the bunch. I’ll talk at length about what I love about this film in a future article, but for now I invite you to sit back and enjoy one of the finest examples of one robot fighting another robot ever put to film. It comes at the film’s climax, and it is definitely worth the wait. The fight itself only lasts for about three minutes, but it felt much longer to me when I first saw it as a kid.
Isn’t it great? I love the little Terminator reference at the end when the red eye stops glowing. There are so many things I love about this scene, but I can’t go into all of them until I talk about the whole film.
This is the Deja Reviewer bidding you farewell until we meet again.
