A Much Better Version of My Chiasmus of the World

I’m sure I’m not the first one to consider the idea that the entire history of the world is a chiasmus. However, I didn’t know how to find the edges of such a large puzzle and fit them together. That’s why my “Chiasmus of the World” article comes across as so rough. It was my attempt at broaching a topic too big for my mind to contain.

I’m happy to report that someone else has been able to do a much better job putting all of the pieces together. Totally independent of me. I was pleased to recently find a YouTube video entitled “Last Days Signs of the Times in Exact Order According to God’s Chiasmus” on a channel called Gospel Lessons. He’s speaking my language on a whole different level than I can comprehend.

A New Way of Approaching the Chiasmus

Rather than trying to fit the world’s history into a chiasmus of events, this YouTuber matches the Biblical history and covenants to a Last Days timeline of prophecies. That’s a really cool idea!

He started from the same premise I had, that Jesus Christ is at the center of the world’s chiasmus. After all, we’re told that He came at the meridian of time. Then this YouTuber took it in a completely new direction. Suddenly, matching events in the second half of the chiasmus aren’t stretched across generations, but they’re a quick buildup to something amazing happening in our time.

Watch It for Yourself

I recommend watching this video for yourself and seeing the chiasmus unfold. The YouTuber is humble enough to admit that he could be wrong. I felt the same way when I introduced my own version. This topic is just so huge. Yet I feel like he could be on the right track.

Big things are coming, and we want to be ready for them. Hopefully this will offer more insights into how to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ.
