‘Lego’ – A Parody of ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen

I wrote a funny version of “Let It Go,” from the wonderful Disney movie Frozen, and I’d like to share it with you, my kind readers. My sister and her children turned my words into a pretty cool music video.

Sit back and enjoy “Lego.”

Here are the lyrics, more or less as they are sung by Lindsey Blood in the above video.

Lego

The blocks are piled high like a mountain today.
Every block type is displayed.
A kingdom of pure creation
Is just waiting to be made.

The gears are turning in this brilliant mind inside
I won’t keep it in, I won’t even try.

Don’t come in here until I’m through
Making something that I can show to you.
I’m building a mini-city,
So let me be.

Lego, Lego.
Can’t hold me back anymore.
Lego, Lego.
Turn away and lock the door.
I don’t care what you’re going to play.
I’ve got my blocks,
They’ll keep me occupied all day.

It’s funny how a Duplo makes Legos look so small
And the gears that can control one don’t fit the other at all.

It’s time to see what I can do,
To build a Death Star or a zoo.
No reading instruction manuals for me.
I’m free.

Lego, Lego.
I’ll build them up really high.
Lego, Lego.
Don’t knock ‘em down or I’ll cry.
Here I’ll spend all my time today.
I’ve got my blocks…

My brother scurries in to see what I’m making.
I’ve feared him coming to find something he could be breaking.
But then I say as my brother toward me walks,
“Hey, bro, you’re free to join.
More blocks are in that box.”

Lego, Lego.
Now we’re having fun as a team.
Lego, Lego.
Sorry if I was mean.
Here we are sitting down to play.
Let him knock it down!
They’re just bits of plastic anyway.
